went to advertise my cloud quaker group and the site was gone. the profile was gone. all its posts were gone. my pop art gone. not a trace. no profile, no site, no nothing.

today was the first day it wasn't 94 in about a week. today it only got to about 85, and it still seemed hot. it being labor day, and this being a labor town, it was very pleasant, but to me i'm still recovering from a week of going in and out of 94-degree afternoons and i'm in no mood to start going back outside, and doing things outside. i have to mow. i have a garden. i have weeding. but i can barely move.

started up with a facebook bot, but when i told him about the page, he couldn't find it, and therefore couldn't do anything about it. of course you couldn't find it, you made it disappear. let me talk to a real person. no there's no way to do that. click here to appeal, but that leads you right back to this site. i'm in bot land, going around and around. Might as well complain to a brick wall.

might mow, as soon as it cools down enough. i've been going for long walks in the morning, probably two or two and a half miles, hitting all the high points of downtown. the innkeepers (coffee) and seminary street shops; the kensington; the bean hive (other coffee shop), cherry street (the bars) the standish park, the town square, the north broad street block, then home. it's got just enough variety that i enjoy it even when it's empty, as it usually is in the morning. i come back good and sweaty; i'm drinking more water. i raid my own garden on my way into the house. i take another shower and set about to do prolific reading.

these days i'm reading four books, all novels, all at least fair-to-middlin. one is good and i might just finish that one tonight. i've become a fanatic reader as an escape from various other things and various other things have suffered a lack of my attention.

a daughter, off in the country not far from here, turned twenty-one today. here's to her. may she make it to many more, and thrive despite the damage she received growing up with us. we barely made it. she's already way more mature than dozens of other twenty-one-year-olds but everyone is on their own paths. she's almost stopped asking us for money. we're grateful that she seems to be making it without.

another day, another facebook site. guess i'll start a new page.
